English Language

Success in the programme of study depends on the ability to communicate in the language. Good written and spoken skills and comprehension are necessary for any student to perform satisfactorily at undergraduate and professional level and to provide the opportunity for academic success and ensure that all the students meet the required English language standards. All non-native speakers of English are tested during the induction week. Students who feel that their ability in English is not at the required standard may wish to enrol themselves on the English language programme.

Levels:

English language courses are conducted at three levels: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. After completing each level the student proceeds to the next level.

Entry Requirements:

Elementary level: No qualification in English required.
Intermediate level: Elementary or equivalent required.
Advanced: Intermediate or equivalent required.

Students passing examinations are awarded Certificate of Proficiency in English by the College.
